At the moment only about 90 of my 3000 fonts are open type (I can only identify them BTW because they have a different icon), but it seems to make no difference to x3 if a font is open type or not, if the font is installed x3 recognizes it. I think that till the workaround gets on my nerves I can wait.

After that you can do it again and select the root directory and it will find the rest of the fonts on your system.The reason you want to do it this way is that you might have multiple versions of a font on your system and the first one FN finds will be the one it uses. After you have that then do a find fonts again and select the location you have the rest of your fonts. Now go to find fonts and steer to the windows font directory and scan for fonts from that directory only. The next step is very important! Deselect the box that says search sub-directories. When you have it this way delete or rename your old FN data file and start the new X3 version which will then ask you to build a new catalog. Keep all of the others in a directory sorted in alphabetical folders like Corel does on their install disks.
